Lanka cricket team going to Pakistan after 8 years of militant attack!
'It is like the name of Ram in the face of ghost'! After the militant attack on the bus carrying the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009, the world's top teams are boycotting the tour of Pakistan. But through Sri Lanka, he is returning to international cricket again on Pakistan soil. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) has approved the Pakistan team's tour of Pakistan after 8 years of such militant attack on the team.
SLC chief Thilanga Sumathipala said that after 8 people were killed in the 2009 attack, the team has been allowed to play in at least one of the three T20 matches in Lahore after evaluating the current security measures.
To send a team abroad, government approval is required before any visit. The top cricket teams from Pakistan have been prevented from touring Pakistan since 2009, at least seven people killed by the gunmen on the bus carrying the Sri Lankan team on the way to the Lahore Stadium.
In a statement, Sumatipala said, "In the past, our security experts have made an assessment report by visiting Pakistan and overall conditions of the whole country, especially in Lahore, are very positive. '
"We have a three-match T-20 series against Pakistan in September and at least one of them wants to play in Lahore. '
Only the weak Zimbabwe team since the Lahore attack in 2009, played one of the five ODIs in Lahore in 2015. Pakistan has been forced to make the United Arab Emirates their own 'home' for international matches.
However, Pakistan's Super League (PSL) final on March 12, in a comprehensive form of a series of preparations, was optimistic on its soil and Pakistan became optimistic.
Last week, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting called upon the countries to take out the deportation and play there in Pakistan, Sumathipala said. SLC chief also mentioned that Sri Lanka was also excluded from the parties due to Tamil problem. But at that time he also remembered standing alongside the Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
