The BPL opening ceremony canceled due to flood
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has come forward to serve humanity. And so decided to stand beside the flood victims. That's why the BPL opening ceremony has been canceled. The decision was taken at a meeting of the BPL governing council chairman Afzalur Rahman Sinha in his office.
The meeting was also attended by members of the governing council of BPL and BCB director Dr. Ismail Haider Mallik, BCB Director Jalal Yunus, Akram Khan, Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan, Sheikh Sohel and CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujon.
Governing Council chairman Afzalur Rahman Sinha said that the situation in the country is very serious. People are living in a normal life. In such situations, the opening ceremony should not be done. So we decided not to. We will distribute that money among the flood victims.
They have not yet decided on the amount of money they will be given.
It is to be noted that the opening ceremony of the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the tournament on November 2 was scheduled to be held on October 31. But the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has completely canceled the opening ceremony of this year's BPL to stand beside them due to the horrific floods in the northern region and to help the flood victims.
